R.I.P. Philip Seymour Hoffman.
And yes shootingarrwsatthesky he apparently died because of a drug overdose but the official autopsy isnīt done yet.

Whatever the cause of his death, he will still be thought of as Plutarch to many HG fans. Surely his presence will be missed by those who worked closely with him during filming of the HG franchise.

RIP Plutarch. Did they finish filming before he passed? If it were me I'd hate to die before finishing

From what has been said, the filming was for part 1 was complete and there was about 1 week left for part 2. The remaining parts will either be written for a different character or special effects ( such as a voice over or digital effects ) to complete his scenes.
